Variable frequency drive maintenance

Due to power electronics technology and microelectronics technology rapid development, variable frequency drive reforms and upgrades speed also is faster, introduce new products, improve performance continuously, enrich and strengthen function constantly. China domestic market has lots of variable frequency drive brands, such as Danfoss, ABB, Gozuk, SIEMENS, GE, Schneider, etc. Although China domestic various VFD brands, the drives functions and utilities are similar. In general, maintenance and troubleshooting methods are basically the same. In practice, variable frequency drive is impacted by ambient temperature, humidity, vibration, dust, corrosive gases and other environmental conditions, its performance will have some changes. If we use and maintain it properly, we can extend the VFD life and reduce cost in production losses caused by sudden failures. If we use it improperly and can't do necessary maintenance work, it will cause running faults and make the VFD drive failure, and even cause the variable frequency drive premature damaged, which will affect the normal production. Therefore, routine maintenance and periodic inspection is essential.
