Need advice on on selection of courses

I am a graduate student in Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden in Electric Power Engineering programme .I need some feedback/advise on the selection of courses for the spring semester. Which course should I select

1) hybrid vehicles and control ( https://student.portal.chalmers.se/en/chalmersstudies/courseinformation/Pages/SearchCourse.aspx?course_id=15594

2) Model Predictive Control

I intend to specialize in power electronics and control

really depends on your personal interest and your future career plan when it comes to select couese. generally spwaking, hybrid vehicle control is a bright subject which no short of demanding of these skills in curren time market.

A career in power electronics has good potential. Converters are very ubiquitous now. Fundamentally, take classes on semiconductor theory as applied to high power transistors/FETs/IGBTs/ etc. My experience in power converters says that the difficult problems, limiting problems, relate to the semiconductors. Next in the order of problems are the capacitors. Thus, emphasize materials relating to semiconductors and capacitors.

1. A course on the design of power electronic conversion toplogies.
2. An interdisciplinary Mech/EE course which gets you to build something like a motor controller using embedded programming, signal processing, electric motor, feedback control systems.
